GEES BEND PATCH OVERALL LOUNG PANT

For SS23 we have continued MOSAIC: Gee's Bend & Greg Lauren, an ongoing collaboration with the incredible quilters and artist is of @geesbendquiltmakers, celebrating the ingenious art by the women of this community.

For the third season of this project, the collaboration included 16 quilters and together we came up with an elevated "embellishment" concept.  A classic GL Lounge Pant was made using repurposed vintage denim overalls and sent to the quilters along with a mix a fabrics from our studio.  Each quilter then used the pant as a blank canvas, embellishing each pair with stunning miniature quilted patches, and the result highlights the beautiful patterns and the tremendous skill and technique of the quilters of Gee's Bend. Every pair is unique and signed by the quilter or quilters who created the artwork.

The quilters were compensated for their artwork and 50 percent of the profits from this collaboration is going back to Gee’s Bend.
